IACNT- On Saturday, April 6, Iranian-Americans gathered in downtown Dallas condemning human rights violations in Iran and commemorating the second anniversary of the attack on Camp Ashraf, in which 36 residents were killed, including 8 women and close to 500 residents injured. 3,500 Iranian refugees previously lived in Camp Ashraf, Iraq before being forced to relocate to Camp Liberty, Iraq.
Several Texas lawmakers, including Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee and Rep. Steve Stockman, led a wave of bipartisan support for a democratic Iran and pressed for the United States to better protect Iranian opposition groups.
