March 28, 2014_On the occasion of the Persian New Year, Iranian-American Community of North Texas invited north Texans to join in as they celebrated the year 1393 in the Persian calendar. The program started with the audience members singing, Ey Iran, the national anthem.
Dr. Jahansouz, a member of the National Council of Resistance of Iran was also present among the guests and he welcomed everyone and wished for a happy and prosperous year for the audience members and Iranians everywhere.
A couple of short videos describing Nowruz, the Persian New Year, and the IACNT activities in the past Persian year were also shown.
The rest of the program was filled with folk dances, playing traditional music instruments, and Persian dancing. Guests enjoyed a beautiful spread of Persian food and sweets brought by IACNT members.
At the end of this event, IACNT members recorded a special message for all Iranians around the world including Camp Liberty residents, wishing them a happy and prosperous year.
