North Texans rallied to condemn the missile attack on Camp Liberty and ask for more protection

IACNT_ The day after Christmas, on Thursday, December 26th, at 21:15 local time, various missiles rained upon Camp Liberty in Iraq. Three residents were killed, and more than 50 were wounded.

The attack marked the fourth missile assault of its kind on Camp Liberty this year. As a result of the attacks from February, April, June and most recently December of 2013, 13 residents have been killed, and more than 200 wounded.

All Camp Liberty residents are internationally recognized as "Protected Persons" under the Fourth Geneva Convention. The United Nations and the United States are obligated to protect these Iranian dissidents.

The US Government has previously signed a written agreement with each individual resident guaranteeing his or her safety "until their final disposition."

To condemn the fourth missile attack on Camp Liberty, North Texans gathered in downtown Dallas on Sunday, December 29, 2013. They demanded the United States and the United Nations to protect these refugees from further attacks and transfer them out of Iraq as soon as possible. They also asked for the release of the 7 hostages who were taken in the last assault on Camp Ashraf on September 1st. Click here to see some photos of the rally.
